Working for the weekend

pedaling so quickly to work while everyone is out bebopping around. i am occasionally jealous of offices.

looks like my phone that ended up toilet bound is functioning. plopped right out of my vest pocket after the house show in mt p last night. i was quick on the scene to help deliver rescue efforts. still simmering in my rice concoction but seems like outgoing calls are a go. evidently i predicted its demise, i ordered a new phone the day before. hope it outlives this one.

work led to a more normal saturday. which was needed considering how restless i have been. today, i had the charge of imparting my knowledge onto a new nurse. 3rd consecutive day of teaching people how to work. i know how shannon must of felt when i was bumbling around. i realized today how odd it is to have to eat outside to have sun exposure, yet another unique part of my days.

im hoping to finish up my immediate future planning this upcoming week.

riding to and from work

what does it say when the best part of your day is the ride to and from work? i had especially reasonable commuters around me, then had my friend sneak up all creepy on me without even knowing as i rolled into guh with the lyrics "you've already won me over in spite of me". fine day all things considered, full hospital which leads to boarding patients, etc, ad nauseum...chill night after my ride home, able to wave hey to people, then check out a house show. enjoyed a few beers before having to head home early to wake up and complete the list all over again.

from out west

i just returned from my out west travels and the idea of returning to the hospital isn't encouraging. once my trips reinvigorated my zeal for working, now it serves as a reminder of what i could be doing. as always, i was more productive with my days off while i was away from dc. enjoyed my time in sf, tahoe, portland and around oregon. being near mountains makes me realize how much i miss them. its special to be able to go hiking, drive through mountain passes then down into a desert, then to wake up the next day and ski. while travelling i was able to see my michigan friends, cousin, and spent time with my girlfriend. i cannot wait for my future travels.
